Black and bohemian, dark, sultry and the stuff of fairy tales; Queen of the Night and parrot Tulips add a deep, dusky depth to any border or hand-tied posy. Add a touch of chartreuse, some smokey mauve and you have a moody confection fit for Vanessa Bell or Virginia Woolf.
Go on, walk on the wild side and add some twilight to your planting and watch your garden become avant- garde and groovy in one easy step!
HAVE A GREAT, BOHEMIAN WEEK-END!
I love that combination of dark and bright and try to get it in the garden in a variety of ways! The chartreuse accents just add so much, I think! They glow. Beautiful photo, Karen, as always!
Thank you Kerry, you always comment and that means so much. I try in the garden too, but these tulips were grown in pots, close to the house. It is much easier to create “dark and bright” in a posy than it is in the garden. But like you, I keep trying!
Karen the photograph is superb. Can’t wait to see your cards. P x
Thanks so much Pauline, it is always so good to get your lovely comments. x
A work of art in your presentation of this arrangement. I gave my granddaughter a pack of wild seeds she scattered, I’m now looking forward to her bouquet in a month or two.
How wonderful! I do hope that you share a photo of those special flowers. Thank you so much for your lovely comments.
Love these colors Karen.
Me too! I have black Cornflowers, Poppies and Viola coming on in the garden and shots of green too in Nicotiana, etc. So glad you like them Gretchen.
